The LA-based Go-Go's debut record features the single "We Got the Beat", which propelled the album to #1 for six weeks in spring of 1982. The single "Our Lips Are Sealed" also charted and received considerable radio play. The all-women group disbanded in May 1985. Belinda Carlisle was the most commercially successful solo artist from the band.
