The single "Ice Ice Baby" is well known for its sampling of Queen's 1981 hit "Under Pressure". Wild Cherry's 1976 hit "Play That Funky Music" was also covered on the album. Robert Matthew Van Winkle was raised in a Dallas suburb and earned his nickname "Vanilla Ice" as a young cardboard break-dancer.
